Bob Dylan just posted an imaginary letter from James Baldwin ripping Walt Disney for sanitizing and whitewashing history on his Patreon. It does not seem remotely AI to me but definitely gives us a clear idea of Bob’s view of current affairs.

Dylan in Detroit was a similar greet performance to Saginaw but a very different atmosphere. Afterwards I saw a fight break out in a liquor store and a guy getting dragged from a club with his pants down. I’ll post a review tomorrow. Michigan is pretty weird place, man.

When I look at rentals and real estate in other cities and suburbs, I tend to be amazed at how affordable Chicago really is. Condos in the building where I crashed in Grand Rapids last night go for twice what I paid last year for a similar place. I’ve seen Cleveland rents higher than I ever paid.

Only saw a couple of Ice agents at ORD last week but there are tons at LGA. It almost seems like a PR move: most passengers are encountering ice for the first time and seeing them as smiling, disarmingly friendly, helpful, unmasked agents (mostly people of color) doing the “have a nice day” work.

Maybe Happy Ending was excellent; musically and in many ways plot-wise it’s a very old fashioned show with a lot of old fashioned showtunes and jazzy “standard” clones. But it’s very creatively staged and is about dying robots, so it never seems old fashioned.

I’m sure the boss is far more pleased by Trump’s insults than he was by Reagan’s praise.
