I'm not the biggest fan of how people have shifted to using the word "capitalism" when what they really mean is "consumerism" or "commodity culture." One is part of the other but if the real topic at hand is buying things and not the act of selling your labor etc...just use "consumerism"

last night I experienced the weirdest gender related microaggression LOL some woman who was at the reading came up to talk to me and she accidentally used "she" to refer to me and then said "sorry...THEY" and when I said it was chill she was very loudly like "no, I'm trying to respect your...thing"
