I haven’t posted on here in months and months, but since I left one thing that’s taken off a lot is my partnership with Night Gallery, super cool stuff on this drop and in the future as well

It Happened To Me: Hit the discover tab & got into a dumb, confusing drawn-out argument on bluesky and now a bunch of comic book writers you think are cool are mad at you for being an obstinate jackass about the concept of feedback. We live and we learn, LOL

There's a lot of discussion right now about whether a good work-for-hire editor is one who encourages creatives, or gives harsh feedback, or some mix of the two. In reality, a good work-for-hire editor is one who, when you've filed work, enters it into the system immediately so you get paid ASAP.

stop begging the mainstream media to be good. they decided decades ago to be on the other side of good. you sound like a naive idiot begging them to think about their choices. they dont care.

Dodgers broadcast was discussing the science behind the perception of time between children and adults. After hearing the explanation, the color commentator pauses and asks, "Am I gonna feel any better?" Andy Pages then smashes a dinger into space, thus ending the existential crisis on commentary.

The stack of small indie press books on my desk that deserve free marketing in the form of a 5 star Goodreads review VS my aversion to star ranked review sites: fight (What I will probably do is just only review books I liked that are written by indie authors and give them all 5 stars)

Incredibly important to have art friends who are 10-15 years older than you because you’ll be revolted & drawn to things that are at that same remove in the 20-year style cycle and therefore almost exact opposites…challenging but just fun also

The laziness in sourcing Spanish language books in this Miami airport bookstore has horseshoed around to just selecting classic literature which means that if you’re shopping in Spanish you can buy a copy of Ulysses but if you’re doing it in English it’s all, like, Christy Brinkley’s biography

Very excited to see that Rohit Malhotra is running for Atlanta City Council president –– it's genuinely important that he defeats his opponent, who has repeatedly voted for Cop City, to keep the jail open, and to enhance criminal penalties.

Whenever I feel like I understand culture I like to watch the opening scene of the movie The Pest, an adaptation of The Most Dangerous Game via offensive 90s-MTV comedy. it reminds me that so much shit people spent hours on is buried in our digital landfills. Just trash!

I'm not the biggest fan of how people have shifted to using the word "capitalism" when what they really mean is "consumerism" or "commodity culture." One is part of the other but if the real topic at hand is buying things and not the act of selling your labor etc...just use "consumerism"

last night I experienced the weirdest gender related microaggression LOL some woman who was at the reading came up to talk to me and she accidentally used "she" to refer to me and then said "sorry...THEY" and when I said it was chill she was very loudly like "no, I'm trying to respect your...thing"

reading last night was good for many reasons but I think a peak ego moment that will sustain me for weeks is when I answered a panelist question and one of the other readers leaned over and asked excitedly if I wrote nonfiction essays LOL. my big "I chew on concepts like they're chew toys" energy
