This past weekend, we had a bonus gameday. I picked Vantage (my second play). I've been really enjoying how much the game opens up as you add cards to your grid; it's not just the list of options in your location. Feels like a hybrid of RPG and board game. I need to try solo. #boardgames

Today, we tried Tiny Epic Game of Thrones (co-op). Tried, because the rules are a mess, and so many cards are confusing to try and play in co-op. We hadn't played before, either, so learning the base rules and co-op mode was difficult. We gave up after 2 hours. What a mess. #boardgames

I seem to have forgotten to post last week's gameday. It was Wasteland Express Delivery Service. This was our second game. I enjoy it, but I don't love it. It's a lot of randomness for pick-up-and-deliver, but there's little interaction with the board. I wanted a little more adventure. #boardgames

We're finally settling back into something resembling normal. Yesterday, we got 3 games played! First was London 2nd Edition. Great little card game from Martin Wallace. I kept drawing paupers and accumulating poverty without a good engine to get rid of it, so I didn't do very well. #boardgames

Been catching up on Alien movies I hadn't seen. Prometheus: Pretty good but definitely has flaws, especially in editing. Covenant: Okay, but surprisingly stupid. No one has a brain. Romulus: Fun, expensive fan fiction. And very video-gamey. Could have just made a video game. Might try Earth again?

We recently played Viticulture with Tuscany. Pretty excited for the new expansion, Bordeaux, which seems to address the last few rough edges. We house-rule the card draws (draw 1 extra and discard 1) and didn't use the map scoring. Loved the combos of the alternate visitor deck, too. #Boardgames

Finally got back to The One Ring solo campaign using Strider Mode. This time, I was learning the Journey rules. Smooth travels, this journey. It's all pretty straightforward once you learn it, there's just a lot of interlocking mechanisms in the system. I look forward to the upcoming climax! #ttrpg

Catching up! We played Endeavor: Deep Sea for the first time recently. We had never played the original, but were interested in the new one. My brother seemed to like it the most. It's not bad. Maybe a bit random for a Euro (less than the first from what I hear?), but it's short. #boardgames
