As someone who has spent 20 years funding incremental advances in digital tools for humanities research, the leaps we've seen in just the last year are incredible. (One example from Alex below, but many others in really hard areas like handwriting recognition.)

My cats recently relocated to join me in Toronto. They are doing just fine.

In a wonderful session today with engineers talking about the opportunities for AI to help with code modernization. While working through setting up prompts, it cheerfully reminded us to be kind. The room joyfully remarked that it must be Canadian!
