Okay, I know it came out four years ago, but there's a limited series on Netflix called Maya and the Three, and I *highly* reccomend it. Best for older kids and up, but it's just a really excellent story, with some well done animation. Oh and all sorts of silliness.

And like, again, I do think the devs went into this with good intentions. And for all I know, there were nonverbal people working on this! But given that's not even mentioned in the behind the scenes, I'm left to assume key voices were left out.

Now, a communication method not shown? ASL. Different regions will have variants, and unfortunately not enough people know it, but it IS a tool nonverbal *and* deaf people use.

On top of that, these communication books are made for children. Oh adult nonverbal people will be expected to use them too. There'll be grant money and all that thrown around for it. But it'll be for things meant for children, as our society tends to infantilize adult nonverbal people.

Now, the other thing shown is the "communication book". Now, I do think learning patience as folks slip through to find what they need or as close as possible is important. There's also a flaw with these. You're limited to what's in the book. Want to talk about something outside it? Good luck.

Text to speech devices, whether it be a phone app or a specialized device attached to a wheelchair are (seemingly) very common. if nothing else, pen and paper. But people need to learn to be *patient* as the person types thngs out, and to make that silence less awkward.

I...I know I've been on more of a negativity run, and should hop off, but I just. I have critiques. Critiques that are limited as I myself am not nonverbal, but critiques that should be considered. I do think this game was made with good intentions. Good intentions does not mean there are no flaws.
