Y'all who keep lecturing protesters to "not give them an excuse" need to pause for a minute. Imagine yourself telling a DV victim, "Be sure not to mouth off or make any mistakes so he won't hit you. Don't give him an excuse! It's what he wants!" That's what you fools sound like.

All charges brought against protesters at Broadview today must be dropped. When cops and agents attack crowds without provocation, they make shit up to justify their attacks (in his case, an attack waged on a cooperative crowd to produce fascist social media content). These charges must be dropped.

After making claims that Tylenol hurts fetuses, RFK Jr announced a new review of mifepristone, the abortion pill, based on a junk study from a right wing think tank. I took the occasion to survey the status of abortion rights and women’s health in the second Trump administration:

It's important to realize what precipitated this was Nexstar announcing they pulled showing Kimmel on their affiliates. They're currently waiting for the FCC to loosen restrictions to enable their massive merger. This was as much pay to play by a corporation as it was censorship.

Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.

BREAKING: Trump says he is designating “Antifa” as a “major terrorist organization.” Such a step being taken this way would be concerning enough, given what it actually is, but, given that Trump sees “Antifa” hiding in every corner of opposition, this could be an extremely alarming escalation.

Why are some still spreading misinfo that "masks only work when everyone wears one," & use it as an excuse not to mask as "no-one else is." It isn't all or nothing. While it's safer when more mask because there's less virus in the air, a well-fitting mask protects you even if no-one else masks.
