A pet peeve I have with movies/TV shows is when a character is going into a situation with a high chance of being killed, but someone makes them promise to return alive.

If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected — young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! — and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.

It’s probably the 1 millionth time someone has said this… But can you imagine the outrage from republicans if Biden, Harris, or Obama refused to remove their stupid hat during a ceremony like this??

Paramount+ is the LEAST user-friendly steaming app and it has the slowest response time. I have to click to open it on my TV, walk away to do something else, and then come back to finally watch something.

The Academy Awards should have a Legacy Best Picture category for films 30+ years old which didn’t win it when they were released, but have stood the test of time and have become well-loved. Two movies that immediately come to mind are “The Princess Bride” and “The Shawshank Redemption.”
