Ran Mechanized Body at #ConofTheNorth The players landed on Venus, saved some folks n cleared out the mercs of Tomb Fit. Saving a floating city from being targeted by surface to air batteries. Running the game in person and seeing everyone’s decks laid out was incredibly cool. Good sesh!

New Nottingham art in action! In this playtest of Mechanized Body we found some balance changes to induvial cards, and MB integral abilities. The 10 x20 map worked well though, as did the Survey sitrep that required the deployment of four survey drones as a condition of success.

In my humble opinion, Lancer is to mech games what Dungeons and Dragons is to fantasy games. I mean this in the most complementy complement ways. Taking all the pros and cons from each system and watching how they've persisted/evolved in subsequent systems.

We have a playtest game coming up tomorrow and another of the players printed out their pilot deck. which i think is sick - makes the game go faster, it's easier to interpret and who doesn't like channeling their fav card game protag in the midst of play???🎴🎴🎴

their actual mechs are teensy tiny compared to the other mechs in the setting because they're old as shit and not really designed to do much more than "stand in place and mine rocks" of course, things are changing. (also they're two seaters; in that you have your buddy's head between your legs)

I'm really happy with this playtest build for level 3. It's all about movement, positioning and deadly strikes. And what makes even better is the change Ramon and I are thinking of. Instead of Stress as a mechanic we are switching to Focus. - which works much better for our game, see why below:
