If seeing your planet burning and flooding is more tolerable than seeing a bike lane in your city, you might want to revisit your priorities.

"When students are caught cheating on exams, the punishments get stricter — we don’t get rid of exams. So why is it different for traffic rules? Removing cameras condones dangerous driving and puts kids at risk. We rely on safe streets."

"Democratic rights" Democratically elected members of Toronto City Council and two Mayors approved all the bike lanes. And Etobicoke-Lakeshore residents turfed their PC MPP pushing for their removal. The majority of Torontonians support bike lanes:

Cool study from
@bikewaysto.bsky.social
detailing a traffic count on Bloor Street taken on June 11 with a camera at 412 Bloor West. During the peak of the afternoon rush, bikes outnumbered cars. I repeat: bikes outnumbered cars.

The big moment for Toronto bike lanes is here. This Wednesday, we’re heading to Ontario Superior Court to challenge part of
#Bill212
— a law that threatens local democracy and puts bike infrastructure at risk.
