I'm known as a trans journalist who doesn't scaremonger or panic people unnecessarily. I think this story, combined with everything else we know about the Kansas law and the intentions behind it, is deeply, deeply concerning. If I lived in Kansas I would be trying to figure out an exit plan.

If accurate, this proves two things: 1. The intent of this law was purely harm and had nothing to do with logistics (we knew this already) 2. They have lists of trans people which have been accumulated from data beyond normal government records (we suspected this) Both very, very dark portents.
