i think we all need to normalize just being comfortable with giving earnest compliments without weird caveats. if your friend does something cool, tell them it’s cool. i don’t necessarily thrive on compliments, but it does means a lot if a friend goes out of their way to say something kind to me.

If we call art, no matter how gross, CSAM, then it removes power from actual survivor-victims. That is *our* term. That is what we went through. Uncomfortable art, no matter the intent is *not* the same. No one was traumatized to make that image. It’s like how “triggered” was taken away from PTSD.

If you're using AI to write essays, eulogies, a text to your wife, I do think less of you as a person. Ceding your mental and creative abilities to a machine is an embarrassing thing and people should be ashamed to admit doing it in public.

i think you should diversify your reading. i think you should read more than fanfiction. i think you should try out new genres. i think you should try classics (not necessarily western). i think its fine to have a preferences and to only end up liking one genre but there's truly no harm in trying.
