A year or so ago I spent several hundred bucks on a version of MS Word from 2019 explicitly so that it would not update and give be subscription nonsense or AI bullshit. It updated and broke everything. Now I can't create or edit documents and I'm out a whole bunch of money.

Slowly dying of Long Covid, a direct result of my covid infection in March 2020 before vaccines were available. It has been an excruciating few years that will end in early death or homelessness. Covid is still circulating, still disabling & more often than we like to admit, still ending lives.
