I watched Django, Kill! If You Live, Shoot! today and holy shit what a trip of a movie. An incredibly weird spaghetti western directed almost like an avant garde horror film.

Sergio Corbucci's The Great Silence. It's funny, first time I watched this, I wasn't impressed. ... then, as good films tend to, it lingered in my mind, egging me to reconsider it from a new angle. Watched it again, and it was a revelation, a spaghetti western with a tragic humanist bent.

세르조 레오네 얼굴을 대문짝만하게 박은 건 좋은데 '웨스턴의 무법자'라는 부제는 좀 아쉽네요. 원래 '죽음과 관련된 어떤 것 Something To Do With Death'라는 멋진 부제가 달린 책이거든요. 어차피 세르조 레오네 이름으로 파는 책인데 부제는 그대로 두었어도 괜찮지 않았나.
