I've used LLMs to assist with code and built full applications even, but one thing I can definitely say from experience is that I would never want an "autonomous coding agent" let loose on any of my codebases ever

It’s incredible how companies are threatening employees to use AI or else but then have no idea how or what employees are supposed to do with it.

🤯 We've got hundreds of stakeholder requests - how do we prioritise them? 🤯 The naive approach: 🧮 Diligently prioritise every individual item using RICE, ICE, Impact versus Effort, etc. ⬇️ Sort in score order and just start working from the top, you'll get through them eventually

Whenever you think "Why is this feature being pushed on me so hard??" it's because someone needs a KPI to go up so they can get their bonus.

The culture of working in tech these days is being constantly worried about being overworked or unemployed. Take care of yourselves. We are replaceable cogs to our employers but irreplaceable to our family and friends.
