I think the thing for me that'd make a text editor feel really next level is if it supported navigation via LSP. Like pressing the arrow keys would move forward/backward in/out of expressions/scopes. Kinda like vim navigation but being context aware of the type of text being moved over.

As we've said a few times, writing the code was never the slow part. Making sure it was the right code, making sure it actually worked, making sure it did what was needed (not what was asked), those are the things that take time. Ask your self "If writing code is no longer the bottleneck, what is?"

Git is inadequate for tracking code changes. When someone says "you changed X" when all you did was add white space (an insignificant change), the tools are doing a disservice.

Was reading through the example code in zserge.com/posts/awfice/ and it's the first time I've seen `with` used in JS in a practical way! Bonus, the post demonstrates how cool vanilla JS can be.

I think this does a good job of describing why I dislike working with Typescript. There's so much configuration, and so much of it feels like the accidental kind. I've had multiple work projects over the years where I've gotten stuck debugging accidental TS configuration for weeks.
