I’ve been having a mysterious health issue for about a year that cleared up almost instantly when I got off the internet. I’m just going to pop in from time to time, mainly for new music and possible ALWW stories.

NGL: I had some hope that the kind of people who think game developers are part of a shadowy woke cabal might hear the new episode and understand the actual human beings involved. I DIDN’T imagine that they’d just pull quotes to pass around online and make up their own story. It’s very depressing.

Grocery store fried chicken is always there for you, waiting around for the moment when you notice what a nice option they are, good for a hot lunch or cold from the fridge at midnight, chopped up and tossed in a salad, tucked away in a quesadilla. Truly a marvel of the American food system.

Digging into Silksong, and of course it’s beautiful, but it also SOUNDS so good. All those crunchy rocks and rosary beads rolling around, the voices, and the music.

My high school punk band covered this song, but I just learned the first verse and repeated it twice cause Ramones.

Thinking about the time a year or two ago when somebody made a fake segment of GFW Radio and tagged the whole crew on Twitter, and we all just ignored it entirely without even communicating with each other about it.

I know this is a common experience, but it kind of blows my mind how much more engagement I get on Bluesky vs the shithole, where I have 9X as many followers.

I really love using Amazon as a wishlist for books I buy elsewhere or check out from the library.

I bought a home-built 386sx from my manager at Taco Bueno for $400. I used it to play shareware games downloaded from local BBS’s and sold it a year later to buy my girlfriend a pair of earrings for Valentine’s Day. I’m still married to her.

Please excuse my coffee nerding, but I just made a 15g pourover with a 7-minute drawn down, and it’s not bitter or astringent in any way. This is like learning that gravity isn’t real.

I got so tired of maintaining my nice knives. Now I just buy $10 Kiwi brand knives from Thailand and pull them through a generic knife sharpener. They’re sharper than my fancy knives ever were.
