As a lapsed fan of games around 2014/ 2015, Polygon was absolutely vital in reviving my love of the medium with reviews, coverage and opinion pieces. I hope everyone who works there is able to find something new and meaningful without too much trouble, there's too much talent to go around there

I don't think it's unreasonable to believe we're witnessing the collapse of an institutional video games media in real-time.

this is what gets me- there are SO many interesting things to play right now, unique new games with fresh ideas that i can't really imagine going back to oblivion unless its with the lens of "i want to educate myself on what games like this were like 20 years ago" and even then, the original exists
