Trump announced today that he was going to keep housing prices up, sued the US taxpayers for $10B, threatened Canada, made a few dozen posts about how he won in 2020, posted about prosecuting Obama for treason, then went to a movie about his wife that Bezos spent $75 million on.

Trump and his sons are suing the IRS and Treasury for $10B over alleged tax info leaks. So do the rest of us get to sue him for creating DOGE to vacuum up our personal data or is privacy only sacred when it’s his? Isn’t MAGA supposedly against presidents enriching themselves?

Ask anyone who’s been in combat: the most dangerous moments is right after the firefight when people think it’s over and let their guard down. That’s what this “we’ll back ICE off a little” Trump signal is doing. Don’t relax. Be calm, but focused calm, so you can do the daily things that matter.

Blocking today’s vote on the DHS funding bill was an important first step for Senate Democrats. A unified opposition party is how we stop the escalating violence that the regime is carrying out in our communities. Now we need to make sure Democrats keep holding the line to get ICE Out For Good.

As a veteran who’s deployed, I know exactly what “in theater” means. It’s a military term for operations in foreign countries. Using it to describe Minneapolis isn’t accidental…and I can’t overemphasize how dangerous that language shift is.
