Still hearing that people don't know: The Gen Con Writers' Symposium committee was disinvited in whole at the end of a meeting with no reason given. I know what happened. I am trying to get word to Peter Adkison that I'd like to meet with him, casually, privately, and honestly.

At a minimum, I would like a reason given for our dismissal, because without a reason I will only have my own documentation to show, regarding how Gen Con addressed issues of both race and disability.

Our love is with Howard and his family, friends, and readers. We remind writers of that love and community - when things are difficult, when they seem insurmountable, reach for your communities. We are here.

In sadness, we join in sharing: Friend of GCWS and 2024 Featured Speaker Howard Andrew Jones has been diagnosed with brain cancer, which is expected to be fatal. We are grateful to Howard for sharing his brilliance and kind spirit with our writing communities.

The Writer’s Symposium is so much fun. My first workshop was a success, I got to meet some amazing people, play some Bloomburrow, and share some awesome meals. My friends know me so well, and made me the perfect Gen Con friendship bracelet. It’s the best part of my haul so far.
