🚶 ELM ROW CYCLE ROUTE – UPDATE The new cycle route behind the Elm Row bus stop has been built. However the old downhill path is still open and marked, so cyclists are still using it. Because of the slope, riders can approach the bus stop area quite quickly. 🧵

🏠 Housing in Leith Leith Central Community Council has been looking closely at how different types of accommodation are affecting housing in our area. Leith is one of the most densely populated parts of Scotland, and demand for housing continues to grow. 🧵

Last month, I met Council officers, @leithcentralcc.bsky.social, & NT Broughton CC to assess issues & results of pavement parking along Leith Walk. While work's underway for poss. new loading provision & physical protection, a team will run the length of Leith Walk from 23/3 to fix loose paving.

🚧 Powderhall / St Mark’s Path – Update Good news: the path will reopen from Fri 19 Dec to Sun 4 Jan while construction pauses, giving everyone on Quiet Route 20 a safer, more direct link over the festive period. Council still reviewing options for a better route during future closures.
