Today my students asked about AI advertising to student populations/campuses and I recommended that they read tech bro rhetoric about AI while swapping out "AI" for the terms "slavery," "pollution," "billionaire profits," or "deep state surveillance," and we had a great time. Highly recommend.

It's enraging to understand the amount of thought, time, craft, and care that every writer and artist I know puts into their work only to see these GenAI proselytizers have the gall to take that work, shove it into a blender, and then demand we enthusiastically support them and the resulting slop.

These are also the same basic rules taught in any entry level hunter safety course, ffs. It's not unique, or advanced, or complex. I've taught these rules to seven year olds. Every competent gun owner knows them.
