If you need some extra distraction from *gestures broadly at everything,* Kilauea is here to help. The next eruptive episode, episode 41, looks to be kicking off right now! Fountains are starting to grow in height. USGS LIVE stream here:

I plan to stand in protest of the latest Minneapolis ICE murder at 5pm on the corner of Pearl Street by the Federal Building. I'd welcome company and will have a basket of 3D printed whistles with me.

Love this show so much, another Apple banger. This is a fun full of spoilers look at how it might work in the real world, and it's kinda neat.

I think most people are underestimating how bad this is. We are at the end of what we know to be normal in this country. Unless someone swoops in and does something like we did to OBL, there is no way out through process or laws, or anything because...none of that exists in anything but spirit.

I am genuinely confused. I didnāt think the level of abuse being openly committed by ICE was possible in this country. Explain to me like Iām a 5th grader why there seems no way to stop it?

I guess I wonder what is next. We just keep working and going about our normal lives until...what? Is there some sort of tipping point here? We used to be the ones to step in and help, is anyone going to do that for us?

That heaviness you feel after events like yesterday is real. We've all accumulated a lot of mental and emotional weight in the first year of Trump's disastrous presidency.

I can't stop thinking about how any group of racist, power-hungry men can just put on vests they bought online and wander around, taking people off of the streets into unmarked SUVs to who knows where. Masks, no warrants, no IDs/badges, unmarked vehicles, etc. No accountability.

We should send more presidents to prison. In the five years since January 6th, two other democracies both faced their own version of insurrectionists attempting to overturn elections. Both countries handled it better ā and more definitively ā than we did.

Nobody is doing anything to stop anything, thus I come to the conclusion that most of the people I thought were good are also benefiting from all of this shit. Just letting it all go to hell. Just waiting for them to all die naturally ain't it.

the number of big heavies coming and going from BTV has been wild. I can't remember how I felt going into the last big war, but this one being entirely ego driven to hide from the pedo files, aligning with former enemies against former allies feels....different.
