Imagine interviewing a victim of torture and independently confirming the details of his torture and then being told you can’t broadcast it because the people who ordered the torture wouldn’t give their side of the story.

Mental health tip: never listen to a Trump speech. Read the transcript if you must (it’s part of my job) but spare yourself the torture of watching a crazy old man spewing out fantasies.

I don’t know how Zohran Mamdani will be as mayor. I wish him well. But I do know that human decency and human connection goes a long way and we need more of it in our elected leaders. So hats off to the Mayor-elect for serving both meals and holiday greetings.

Does the BBC think it's improper for a speaker to state their opinion that Donald Trump is the most openly corrupt president in American history? Because I think almost all historians would readily agree that Donald Trump is the most openly corrupt president in American history.

One aspect of the lawful orders discussion boils down to this: Is premeditated killing lawful if the executive branch manufactures a non-existent armed conflict and then declares by fiat and without a factual basis that certain people are "combatants" and certain objects are "military objectives?"

Those boats we are sinking in the Caribbean and Pacific are small and at best very lightly armed and we have the most powerful Navy in the world. Yet somehow we can’t stop them, detain the crews, seize the drugs (if any), and we prefer to just kill people instead. Not a good look…

Easily several hundred people have packed into this plaza in Chicago's North Center tonight in response to ICE abducting a daycare worker early this morning. This is a neighborhood that has largely been spared until now from the "Midway Blitz" terror campaign. But everyone knows someone affected.

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video. I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children. But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.
