Whilst at the Medieval Faire, my rubber arm was twisted terribly and I was urged to strut my Landsknecht stuff at the fashion show, not that I really needed any insistence, though it took a bit to get my companion to join me. Cheers to him! 🕺🏻

Today we attended the Medieval Fall Faire, hosted by the SCA at the Coombs Fairground, where I donned garb of my larger-than-life 16th century landsknecht and posed for many a photo op. Alas I was unable to bring up the one thing more impressive than his codpiece: his huge two-handed Zweihänder! ⚔️

Labour Day hike around Spectacle Lake. Saw these beauties: Being a neophyte mycologist I couldn’t hope identify them. They appear to be Oysters but would be out of season. Might’ve been poisonous Angel Wings. Also had a wonderful nap on a bed of moss. Get out not to #touchgrass but to #touchmoss

After a brief hiatus, we’re back to our Blights ov the Eastern Forest TTRPG campaign. After ending the threat of the Crimson Flame, the PCs decided to investigate the Wrook’s Hut. The foolish wizard tried to abscond with one of its black eggs, which cost him his soul, drained by the Wrook itself!

Watching The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, which totally plays out like a classic D&D pulpy adventure. There are also aspects of this film that feel very DCC to me, chiefly the evil sorcerer suffering spellburn/corruption as the price of casting magic, not to mention Sinbad’s swashbuckling Mighty Deeds.
