Hello! I AM a biology (genetics) expert and can confirm 100% of this is true. I've seen firsthand hundreds of differences in sexual development (dsd's) in dogs. It's leaning into grade-3-level misconceptions of biology that drive these politically motivated decisions.

Without even taking into account the fact that sex and gender are not the same thing, there are so many more sexes than male and female. Someone could, for instance, have an XX karyotype but one of their X chromosomes has a fused SR-Y gene resulting in them looking like a man, despite being XX.

This one's important. Multiple people I know have been denied gender affirming care for size reasons and medical professionals need to get on it.

1) countless trans kids are going to needlessly suffer because of this. 2) 18 year olds are ADULTS – so your conceding (as Trump admin hoped by setting 19 at age) that restricting care for trans adults is fine. 3) this goes against the recommendations of most medical professional organizations...

Understated consequence of this: how can you convince your hospital board that it must keep offering trans youth care if one of the leftmost politicians in America set his new clinic at 19 and over? It sets a horrible precedent.

My first repost on here. Possibly the only one I will do, at least for a while. Jey is not only an incredible activist who has already made so much in the way meaningful impact on the world, they are also my friend and lovely person.

I have no words, I’ve known Jey for 20 years and he is one of the most decent, intelligent human beings on the planet. That something like this could happen is monstrous beyond imagining
