One of my few childhood assumptions about the adult I'd be someday that has actually come true is that I can walk into almost any old bookstore, glance at any display of books or almost any shelf, and recognize at least one book as something I've read.

I'm easily on track to hitting 3k books logged in LibraryThing by the time I turn 40. This pleases me greatly. I only started logging in 2006 at age 18, so I had to rely on memory for my prolific childhood reading. It's more than likely the case that I've already hit 3k books.
