I'm a few days in and these are my initial thoughts about HORSES: It is a very blunt and unsubtle piece. There is no slow winding path to the upsetting thing, you are already there and you (the character) can't leave. The game isn't interested in tricking you (the player) into staying either.

Spent yesterday checking out the Jeff Wall exhibit at MOCA. Didn't know about him prior, but going through their retrospective of his work it was disappointing to see how he had abandoned his early, richly narrative and weird work for what ultimately can be reduced to "playing with materials."
