I admit, I get annoyed by the "can't afford an artist, will use AI". I've written and drawn forever. I do what I do because I've practiced and practiced. And the thing about both? All you need is a pencil and paper to get started. Does it take effort? Yes. Lots. But it's not impossible.

I had a lot of problems writing the 4th book in my Wellspring series. I had changed the ending to book 3, and I was suffering from burnout. It took 3 years to get it published. I'm terrified book 5 is going to take forever, too. I original wrote 6 books, but the change of ending upended

When I was a little kid, our TV broke. We didn't get another until I was in jr high, and the programming bored me. I'd go into my bedroom, just like I did when we didn't have one, and wrote and drew instead. I loved creating my own worlds, my own characters. I found creation so much more

It's funny. I see all these ads for digital brushes, and for the most part, I just use the CSP Gpen or the default PS brush for lines. For color, I switch between hard/soft, with a bit of blend/blur. That's my go-to. Nothing fancy.
