It’s Friday Eve…let’s make it a good one!

The hardest part of watching discourse around film over the last decade is so many younger writers & videographers do not have enough life experience to take some films in.

Watching Deep Blue Sea. One of my favorite examples of a movie that knows what it is & commits to being that. The shocks are foolproof. I love that they give the cook (LL Cool J) his own one-man survival story apart from the group. Sturdy structure. Every action sequence has its own mini-narrative.

It seems like Amazon is burying this wonderful movie behind an $8.99 per month spiritual channel on Prime. So if you pay for Prime, you need to pay for the add-on.

I LOVE BOOSTERS is a technicolor fever dream that is unlike anything else you will see this year. It’s a film bursting at the seams with ideas, so many I don’t think I could even begin to deconstruct them after one viewing. Keke Palmer stitches the film together with another incredible performance.
