I got a big piece of meat for Christmas. Now I need to figure out what to do with it.

I’ve been learning to mix vinyl for less than three years, only recently felt good enough about it to actually share. This particular set of records was the first time I decided to make an actual “mixtape” back in July. Did it again tonight and it’s better. Mostly house music and some surprises.

At my wife’s encouragement, I just pulled the trigger on a digital mixing deck. I’ll have something fun to play with for the break!

After four songs of talking, I finally had to ask the chompers in front of us to keep it down since they were basically talking into our laps in the tiny seats. I can’t imagine what they had to talk about while a living legend was on stage performing some of the greatest songs ever written
