Got an etrike today. Haven’t really ridden a bike in 20 years, so this’ll be interesting. I need to get used to how bikes work again. But it will extend my range of motion! I can go shopping without relying on the bus or the footmobile!

I sometimes feel a bit bad when I go to someone’s home that is much cleaner than mine. But then I notice that the clean house has almost no decorations, very little furniture, and is devoid of colour. It’s one step away from looking like a hotel room. And then I feel much better about myself.

Went to my kindergartener’s Olympic themed school concert today where she did Swedish dancing. Can’t say I expected to hear “We Will Rock You” on the recorder. It also made me think, “man, I could write and direct one of these things. Only problem is all the child performers.”

I just learned that not everyone gets really sensitive skin when sick. I told my husband I felt like I was getting sick because my skin was so sensitive and he didn’t know what the hell I was talking about. I thought it was normal to have sickness clothes and blankets.

There’s a small part of me panicking and asking what would I do if Trump bombs my city. The plan would be go to the family farm where my aunt and uncle built a new house and left the old farmhouse empty. It’s comforting knowing there’s an empty house in the country to safely retreat to.

Just got home from seeing Frankenstein, and boy, what a film. As a fan of the book, I loved it. They definitely made some big changes, but they served the story. It was great to see some scenes from the novel really come to life. So glad I could catch it in theatre.

I’ve been really liking Suikoden 5, but there’s one thing I hate. Fucking duels. I don’t care for duels in Suikoden, but normally it’s whatever because I can just look up a guide and get through them. But 5 changed things up by putting them on a TIMER! So I just lost 2 hours of progress.

So my kid got some kinetic sand for Christmas and I can’t help but squish clumps of it in my hand all day. It’s a great fidget toy and less messy than I expected.

I am very bothered by how many things can only be done digitally or are controlled by AI. My generation grew up with enough sci fi movies to know how dangerous that is. We know what happens when you don’t have manual locks on your doors. Dinosaurs eat everyone!
