Today is two years since Israel murdered writer, educator and activist Professor Refaat Alareer in Gaza. In memory of him and the thousands of beautiful Palestinians whose lives were stolen by the apartheid state, we keep fighting for freedom, justice and equality for Palestine. Let's it be a tale..

Boycott Uber! Don't let them pull Ireland into yet another race to the bottom. The government must establish a publicly owned, not-for-profit app operated by the NTA, mandated to protect taxi drivers’ incomes and to protect customers against Uber's surge pricing.

More than 2,500 Starbucks workers are on strike. They’re demanding dignity: fair pay, safe conditions, a contract that respects their labor. It’s time their voices are heard at the same volume as CEOs earning millions.

I hope someone draws this wonderful story about Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and the power of the arts to help us see things differently, to the attention of our Education Secretary. Do read it, it will lift your spirits.

1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

When Catherine Connolly expresses concern about the military-industrial complex pushing for more armament as an economic stimulus, she is not being “far left”. She is describing reality as it exists - here’s the cover of the Economist this week.

Remember - the Irish government was told years ago when the total was still well under 10,000 how to eradicate homelessness by the man who did so in Finland, and it just ... didn't bother. And since then, the majority of you kept voting for them. Well done, everyone. Well done. 👍
