Disappointed by Wiley’s answer to my question about how they can justify their profit margins. The answer that they invest more in their infrastructure is mystifying, given the atrocious state of their metadata and their treatment of academic editors.

Also super enjoyable to hear scholars being blamed for the current publishing crisis that commercial publishers have got us into. It’s because those academics want to publish too many articles!

Well that’s the first time I’ve heard a big 5 commercial publisher describe APCs as “accessible.” Remarkable doublethink going on here.
