I like the new Pittsburgh airport terminal in general but this is a bad bus stop — furthest end of the curb, minimal shelter from wind, no good way to wait indoors and watch for the bus. Bus stops should be a part of the design, not an afterthought.

Cycling has helped me notice urban streets and rural roads that "don't go anywhere" (that cars want to go, or there's a faster route for cars). These "naturally" low-car routes are ripe for improvement to make them even more ped and cycle friendly. A few examples in this thread, mostly Philly:

The restoration of dedicated lanes for the St. Clair streetcar is a great case study for what should happen on Girard Avenue. St. Clair originally had dedicated lanes, lost them, and later restored them—showing the benefits of prioritizing transit.
