What I have said since Trump rode down the escalator for his first campaign: Don’t tell voters who you are against, tell thema what you are for!

Do you think it’s a coincidence that Trump said today he would soon talk with Bolsonaro? Of course, it would be much easier to take that call if Brazil’s presidential felon escaped to claim asylum in the US Embassy. So glad we respect for the rule of law in Brazil!

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged. Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

Certainly DOJ will interview former employees and vendors who serviced Epstein properties, and subpoena any CCTV video from his properties as part of its “investigation”. There are bound to be MANY workers who can say who was there and what went on. /s

This is, unsurprisingly, nonsensical. Is he suggesting eliminating health insurance and giving people a few thousand dollars instead? And then when they get a cancer diagnosis they just go bankrupt? He is so unserious. That's why we are shut down and Americans know it.

This is what oligarchy looks like: If you're Elon Musk, the richest man alive, Tesla gives you a $1 trillion pay package & Trump gives you a huge tax break. If you're a poor kid on SNAP, Trump appeals a court decision that would have prevented you from going hungry. Obscene.

It's well past time for the Apple App Store and Microsoft Store to take Twitter down. The site is seemingly exercising zero content moderation at all, and the owner of the site is reinstating neo-Nazi accounts that publish dangerous information.

No solidarity. Reporters let Trump talk this way to a woman reporter and then clamor to get their own question answered. He used to do it to April Ryan, Yamiche Alcindor and Abby Phillip. And that’s why he controls media. No solidarity.

Has any one added up how much it will cost just to rebrand DOD as the “War Department” to fluff Trump’s ego? And which Trump crony is getting the no bid contract for that job? He sure loves to spend OPM!

I think Trump himself thinks he's more or less invincible and is going to act like it, with catastrophic results for himself. His more apocalyptic advisors, like Miller and Hegseth, seem inclined to bet everything on a slim chance of victory rather than give up their dreams of a Herrenvolk state.

One of the best ways to cripple Russia’s ambitions longterm would be to moonshot renewables development then spread the tech everywhere super-cheap. Russia produces nothing of significance beyond oil and gas. The economy would tank. Plus a huge win in the fight against the climate crisis.

Yes, on all points! Someone needs to tell Redstone not to sacrifice her principles for the sake of a deal. If she can’t sell Paramount now, she will have another chance—if not several—in a little over 3 years.

NYT should have given you a few more lines for today’s column so that you could add, “When Musk is finally dethroned for his crimes and malfeasance, Trump will deny knowledge of or responsibility for his actions. That’s the classic mafia don defense.” It’s a great read all the same

Perhaps it’s time for a nationwide strike by lawyers handling criminal cases brought by DOJ. If proceedings are paralyzed by a work stoppage, the courts might intervene to stop this abuse. It’s time to pull the fire alarm.

As someone who lives on welfare in a red state, I've already been getting massive cuts to SNAP (as the GOP loves to fudge the numbers) even though my life hasn't changed one iota in the past year, yet I still lost out. This will end them in any meaningful fashion going forward if it passes into law.

There's no harm in Dems adding to their messaging, "the constant stream of sudden gov't changes is ridiculous, Trump and his appointees are incompetent and Republicans in Congress are useless toadies." Repeat it enough times and people will correctly associate gov't dysfunction with Trump/GOP.

When they talk about privatizing Veterans’ care and Medicare, they mean allowing companies to provide healthcare for a profit. But how do companies make those profits? By *denying* care to many who need it. Don’t get fooled by the “privatization” label. It means “for profit” and YOU are the cost.
