Watching Maxey very conspicuously decide to gear-shift in this quarter has been beautiful.

I do feel belatedly validated in my early analysis that there was no world in which V.J. wasn't going to have a pretty gnarly rookie season shooting the ball. But I also did enjoy (and kinda miss) when he was just knocking everything down and making that shit look easy.

This is what it is with this Sixers team. The start's been fun and even without Joel the team's been better than expected, but the season being meaningful still hinges on him and he is a very rusty hinge at this point.
