The Supreme Court of the Confederacy: Only Republican maps can be approved. States rights only apply to Republican states. Discrimination laws are mean to protect white people. Same for due process. Unitary executive theory only applies to Republican presidents. Precedent means pre-1860.

New, from me: Take the Palantir manifesto seriously, if not literally. It reveals that our tech philosopher kings want public money, but without public accountability. This creates a dilemma for governments unaligned with its techno-fascist vision. 🧵

I'm going on Krugman's substack in a few to talk energy, so I've been trying to wrap my head around a 30K view of the domestic energy landscape. It has brought to mind one of my favorite rants, which I will rant at you once again here. Let's talk about a contrast. 🧵

Edward R. Murrow famously used his platform on CBS to criticize the witch hunts led by Joseph McCarthy in the 1950s. He got his start on CBS Radio, which will sadly be shut down after nearly 100 years of operation. We need more journalists holding the powerful accountable like this.

Calling everyone a terrorist after launching a strike that destabilizes global oil routes is not strategy, it is narrative control. When leaders justify escalation by redefining every consequence as proof they were right, accountability disappears and conflict becomes self-perpetuating.

Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.
