Oh right I'll post about him properly later but the Lalafell Formerly Known As Crimes is now named Dodo and is largely being characterized by the immediate vibes I get from qotds. (I should do a proper intro post for my other guys sometime, too).

It's (mostly) an easy pass for Marcel, complicated only by the potential that soul cell 'revivals' might be able to restore him to his pre-zenos strength. Tiny detail I only noticed when drawing giott: Lamitt uses plainsfolk eyes, where all the dwarves in the present (at least iirc) use dunesfolk eyes, presumably as a result of all the very bright light.

For a long time, Marcel has been pretty reliably quick to seek help when hurt/unwell. Of the scions, he's traditionally been easily the least likely to resist aid or hide injury. Unfortunately, this is entirely contingent upon his belief that he is a useful thing worth maintaining.

One more thing before I sleep but the nature of Marcel's echo (he's able to perceive the wishes of others, which basically works as a diegetic form of quest markers and textboxes) means that his experience post-EW was just a long sequence of quests to 'breathe in' and 'breathe out'.

So my headcanon for healing magic is that it burns the healed body's aether (essentially working by being natural healing but accelerated, with each specialty having their own way to achieve that) and if you don't have enough your body starts consuming itself for aether.
