Thinking about Summer in Marcelverse's Eighth Umbral Calamity frantically writing like Alexander Hamilton because she knows the work of fixing the timeline will outlive her, and of Thancred preserving it, and of the Exarch later showing it to Thancred on the First as a way of gaining his trust

Apropos of nothing one of my favorite pieces of headcanon worldbuilding about the Eighth Umbral Calamity is that Mhachi arts saw a rapid spike as the Source became more light-soaked because mages, starved for dark aether, would open voidgates to lure voidsent over, trap them, and cannibalize them.
