Unfortunately, it's just federal taxes, and everyone across Canada pays them. Alberta received 8 billion from Ottawa in Federal transfers in 2024-25. If we look at our neighbours, SK received 2 billion, and BC received 9 billion. Do we really need the equalization transfer?
