Finished reading "Is a River Alive" today. Really good book, though it feels like it slips away from its central thesis around the third section. But, as a work of literature, it's incredible.

I legitimately love it when I am tearing through a run in a roguelike with what I think is a broken build... only for the new boss I run into to pack my shit in. It's a reminder that there's still a lot to discover in the game, and a lot of skill of my own to improve.

Idk how people can only see the good parts of their favourite game/ franchise. For me it sticks out like a sore thumb when something is great and even more so when it's incredibly bad/ could be improved. We can't just be positive about games. How do we get good ones without constructive criticism?

I don't know if it's because some fuckwit has decided to write code with AI, but Canva's been really frustrating to use lately. Incredibly slow, to the point where I half want to just say "fuck it" and use something else because the "convenience" of Canva is outweighed by the lag.

Not gonna lie, Pokemon Winds and Waves looks pretty cool from the small glimpse of it we got. And that fire starter is adorable.

I constantly get shit for this, but I really do love city rats. They're fascinating, and cute, and bright. I don't want 'em as roommates but I don't want a blue whale as a roommate either--doesn't mean they aren't awesome.
