I legitimately love it when I am tearing through a run in a roguelike with what I think is a broken build... only for the new boss I run into to pack my shit in. It's a reminder that there's still a lot to discover in the game, and a lot of skill of my own to improve.

Something deeply frustrating about social media is how much it trains us to keep from reading long, and reading deep. I really hate watching my brain skip over things just to get to the next one.

Idk how people can only see the good parts of their favourite game/ franchise. For me it sticks out like a sore thumb when something is great and even more so when it's incredibly bad/ could be improved. We can't just be positive about games. How do we get good ones without constructive criticism?

I don't know if it's because some fuckwit has decided to write code with AI, but Canva's been really frustrating to use lately. Incredibly slow, to the point where I half want to just say "fuck it" and use something else because the "convenience" of Canva is outweighed by the lag.

Hey y'all, we now have a blizzard warning for NYC and a good chunk of the surrounding area, so I'm reposting a thread I made on staying safe. I'll add here that blizzards are different from snowstorms because of high winds. This means reduced visibility and more treefall! Expect power outages.

I think it's notable that once the digital world enabled companies to introduce inconveniences you can remove for an extra charge, instead of forcing them to provide an extra benefit like physical products do, they jumped on the opportunity. At what point is it just soft coercion?
