Today in my writing I saw a hint of my younger self, my voice before it became smaller, scared. I'm excited to start sharing my stuff online again soon.

I cycle through phases of grief, but right now, in this moment, I might be the happiest I've been since the before-times because I've shrunken my fixation on only the nearest and smallest things I can control. It's still a kind of numbness, but I can still love and empathize. It'll have to be enuf.

Piano has made me better at playing Marvel Rivals on mouse and keyboard. The reverse is also true for some of my weaker fingers on piano. Doesn't really help with speed though. I'll get you yet, Allegretto 2!

My parents didn't have cellphones, so I wasn't supposed to have one either, until I went away to school. I think my mom got me a Kyocera phone with Virgin Mobile (now Boost) that looked like #2. They're all in a box somewhere because I haven't figured out a good way to recycle (or reuse? 🤔) them.

I love this idea. It's the level of parasocial that endears you, but doesn't feel violative.

None of what's happening with @ecosystemaction.com today would have been possible without the tireless work @christian.bsky.social has put in over the last few months. He brought the community together and is stewarding a project that's optimistic about the future of the open social web.

It's between Foundation and One Piece right now. I watch a bit of One Piece every day, but I'm actively pacing myself (hahaha) with Foundation to savor it. Binging is great for animation, but with beefier plot lines, I watch shows with bigger pauses.

I used to scoff at my mom and the whole "women's intuition" thing. It didn't seem rational, so I deemed it untrustworthy. Folly of youth. Now I'm starting to come into my own intuition, I feel a deep sense of gratitude knowing there are some senses I may not understand that protect me all the same.
