This attitude was so pervasive early in my career that I thought it could take years to get a single paid subscriber for Typebar but it literally took maybe a few hours on the first day. Writing has value!

“Audiences don’t pay for content” is another flavor of “the algorithm hates me” It’s nonsense. The audience doesn’t like your content. That’s on the content not the audience. But everywhere you look l, especially in video right now, the ground is littered with “why doesn’t my stuff work?!”

The funny thing about the "audiences don't pat for content" thing is that i don't even paywall my stuff and people still pay me for it. So it sounds like a skill issue to me.
