Yo, it's been a while, but I'm back to confirm that I, Foreman Spike, am in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie! Given how much money it's making, it's obvious my presence is tied to its success, just like the first movie! Where am I in the movie? You'll just have to see for yourself! 😎

I don't plan on watching the new Mario in theaters, but I did rewatch the first with friends yesterday. (It's still just an ok 90 minute distraction.) But points to the team for taking an obscure lore character like Spike and making him the most "You KNOW this fucking guy." dudes ever.

I desperately (still) want the movie version of Foreman Spike to be introduced in Mario games. General Blue Shell is also a great concept to be left just in the movie universe, imo. But most of all, that the SMB2 8-Bit gang start showing up now too.

There's something of an event going on where you can earn NSO icons by playing Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Advance. Feels intentional, perhaps Nintendo might bring the Super Mario Bros. 2 cast back to prominence. Still wish they'd get around to using Foreman Spike more, though.
