Dream where we saw footage of Jamboree TV where they had made DK's model more expressive. What started as simple brow movements turned into DK straight up becoming a Sonic character-- oftentimes with pointy ears. Sometimes with yellow fur for some reason.

Many have predicted that Diddy Kong's 3d design will NOT be updated, as his design in 2D art wasn't updated alongside DK's in recent merch. HOWEVER, his design WAS updated. And I believe his 3D model will indeed be updated to include more elements of his 2D design.

A promising aspect of the new Donkey Kong is that he has the ability to emote similar to recent 2D art, which makes the "annoyed" brow DK's default. Mario Kart uses a new neutral brow pose instead. But I believe "annoyed" DK will stick around and could look something like this.
