Shout out to @gallovidiabooks.bsky.social which was going like a fair this morning. Had a nice chat with Stewart & signed some stock. Great to see an indy book shop thriving.

If you’re near Kirkcudbright do come along. The lovely @gallovidiabooks.bsky.social bookshop is well worth a visit anytime. Lots of natural history books and very friendly, helpful owners. The town even has its own ‘wild’ Kookaburras. What’s not to like?

We took a gorgeous wee break to Paris to recharge our batteries and to do lots and lots of reading. 🇫🇷🥐💃 We visited pretty much every bookshop and patisserie on the Left Bank. And we spent a champagne fuelled evening at the Moulin Rouge….. but you’ll need to pop by the shop to hear THAT tale 🇫🇷

Happy 2025 one and all! We must have been on Santa’s naughty list this year. We DID get some beautiful new books in our stockings - but we also got a dose of flu and the shingles. We’re going to keep warm and snug for another few days. Back on Monday at 10am.
