LEITH IS BACK ON THE MAP!! After months of anticipation, the barriers are down and The Dock @ Coalie Park is OPEN! 🎉 Leith finally has its first permanent outdoor skate area thanks to @wolct.bsky.social in partnership with The Edinburgh Wheels Project & Odyssey Skateparks.

ELGT are working with the Thriving greenspaces team to make improvements to 3 small parks in Leith. This includes Mill Lane, Junction Street and Dalmeny Street Parks. We are working with the The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society to run community planting days in November.

We're huge fans of Skelf! And always surprised by how many people haven't gone along for a shot - it's only a 30 min, almost traffic-free cycle from Leith Links 🚲

Dalry Community Play Park is now open! This exciting new addition is part of the Roseburn to Union Canal Link project. Under construction for the past two years, the project introduces a significant extension to the city’s off-road pedestrian and cycle network. 1/3

Cat's Friday skate club is a community group who run free, friendly, weekly skate sessions for all ages, genders, abilities and background at The Pitt in Granton. They're currently fundraising to continue running their regular indoor sessions over the Winter. 1/4

Of all the reasons we want to see an activity park in Leith Links – this one might be at the top: 7 schools within 1km. 18 schools within 2km. 0 skateparks*. *Or roller rinks, pump tracks, bouldering rocks, ping pong tables or street workout gyms.

We recently celebrated three years since the launch of our campaign and pulled together an overview of some of its important milestones to mark the occasion. 1/4

The Leith Links Activity Park campaign launched in Summer 2021, in response to a call for ideas by Leith Links Community Council. The founding members include Gordon Carmichael, David Mckean, Evie Murray (Earth in Common), Ruari Britee-Steer (Leith DIY) and Sam Paterson (Skateboard Scotland).
