A productive session with staff from the Edinburgh office of @urbantide.bsky.social down at Belford this morning. They gave the walkway a good trim back to make more space, removed tagging from the bridge and planted willow to reduce bank erosion. Top work team 👏

Thanks to the team who came out at Kinleith today to help look after the walkway! A most productive session with the path, steps, drainage and vegetation all given attention, and a small team wading in the river pulling balsam, mapping Knotweed, and removing litter. Great work!

Unfortunately with the high river levels we couldn't take the new recuruts of Scottish Power into the river. They still managed a productive day though of meadow raking, walkway maintenance, willow planting and flood defences instead. #csr

Thanks to everyone who came out to our session in Juniper Green today. We waded the river for rubbish and invasives, scythed and raked off the wildflower meadow, cutback vegetation from the walkway, mulched some saplings, cleared out some drainage ditches and removed graffiti!

A sunny afternoon session for a team from @edfenergy down on the Bells section of the river. Plenty of 💪 💪 on show today as they helped us complete the rake off of the meadow, trimming back over hanging branches, planting willow and reclaiming the walkway width.

A massive effort & thank you to our brilliant volunteers, who came out today to clean the Colinton Tunnel in preparation for the artists to touch-up and refresh the mural. They made short work of a tough job, working so fast that it was hard to get their photos in focus! Thanks again legends!👍🤘💪

Lovely wading in the Dells today, weeding out the last of the Balsam from the river bank and sweeping for litter in the river and on land. It was nice to see the area so clean and tidy! We also did some cutting back of encroaching vegetation to widen parts of the path. Fun times!

Drummond CHS N5 biologists hone their survey skills on a hot dry day. The ground is so hard they had to use mattocks to make pitfall traps. But then, the cool relief of the river sampling invertebrates.
