The spring clean continues with time dedicated to the Murrayburn tributary up at Riccarton. Lots of plastic waste removed that built up over many years, more to do in future

Another huge haul of rubbish cleared by our volunteers this morning, as part of our spring clean whilst at Longstone. We also started the task of reclaiming the path widths on the local paths.

31 bags of litter collected from the local area & paths improved around Roseburn park Top work today by the volunteers that came out.

A different view from the norm for our volunteers today up at Poets Glen. Although not on the walkway, its an extension that provides a car free route into the Pentlands. Thus a good rake off of leaves done to improve the route.

We love a trip to the Colinton Tunnel, so many interesting images to look at. It’s got a great wheelchair accessible path too alongside the Water of Leith.

I had several close encounters yesterday with a brave wee female kingfisher on the Water of Leith. She flew over to my side of the river & landed circa 10 feet away. Unperturbed by passersby (except some off the leash dogs) she proceeded to catch several fish. @wolct.bsky.social #Birds #Edinburgh

My photos came back from the lab over the weekend and I think I was a wee bit obsessed with reflection when I was in Leith a couple of weeks ago...

Great job at Kinleith Mill today clearing the walkway and refreshing drainage, we wondered far and wide and removed quite the haul of litter too. Fantastic work from all those who attended, thanks again!

Spent the morning between Dean Village and Stockbridge, clearing off the remaining leaves left over from autumn, adding willow structures to the garden at St Bernards well, and removing invasive plants. Our litter pickers collected a mammoth haul too! Thanks for all your efforts!
