It will never not shock me that so many people, especially around my age, politics end where their desire to consume their little treats begin. Legitimately meeting the moment by demanding "BUT WHAT WILL I WATCH?"

Man, his own wife is trying to launch a social media career using his body as a prop. There were multiple people streaming immediately after he was shot. The guy he was debating when it happened was just trying to launch his own social media career. There is truly no dignity in death for the grifter

I need more Seattle friends. My usual strategy of being a very annoying sweetie isn't working.

At work all day so I haven't read the news but for no reason I've been thinking of this quote from Dhammapada for no reason at all: "Even an evil person may still find happiness so long as his evil deed does not bear fruit; but when his evil deed does bear fruit he will meet with evil consequences."

After like 2 or 3 years of building my dream homebrew set up it's done. Here's the first beer I made on it! A Citra SMaSH ale.

I’m glad people are talking about the Joshua Weissman recipe that has his readers cook short rib at room temperature for two days.

I'm quoted extensively in this article about the occupation of Western Sahara where Christopher Nolan has been filming The Odyssey.

I once worked at a restaurant where we would cycle produce based on seasons as a sustainability practice. Which meant once we got into colder weather we had different potatoes. I remember that the potatoes we got in the winter would cook slightly darker due to a slightly higher starch content (1/2)

I used to know this cook who after his shift most nights would drink at the bars until last call (2am), then go home and do nose drugs and play NES until 7 or 8am. One time he was getting chewed out for being late (his shift started at 4pm) and he legit said "Sorry I had a really good Megaman run."

The amount of infidelity I've witnessed between two people who met on World of Warcraft is genuinely alarming. I've watched 3 relationships destroyed because someone wanted to bang their WoW buddy. Anyone got any insight on this????

I just finished Blood Meridian for the first time recently. It was a horrifying book that I can't recommend to anyone despite really enjoying it but I found it needed a lot of digestion. I decided to check out some YouTube videos on it and this MFer said he was expecting something like RDR2.

There's this dude who's made his whole online presence "putting things more controversial than pineapple on pizza" then he'll start the video chewing and looking into the camera like "👁️ 👄 👁️" insisting this is the best one yet then the big reveal is like it's spicy peppers and honey.

Been thinking a lot lately about the common Cold War tale that the USSR was putting totally unqualified people into important government positions (remember the Chernobyl show?). The presumption was that capitalism and liberal democracy had a sort of built-in meritocracy. Lol.
