Not clear what investment is being lost but assume its data centres. These bring little economic benefit, put huge strain on the grid now using a 1/4 of generation so driving up electricity prices, and will cost jobs in the long run due to AI. But govt want more? www.irishtimes.com/business/202...

This is fun and lovely, but we can’t rely on possible future tech like air cleaning (C02 capturing) machines to think we’ll be able to save our planet. We need to take bigger and more radical steps right now to reduce our emissions!
